Amenity Expansion Updates :: Watersound Origins

The proposed amenity expansion plan for the Watersound Origins community presents an exciting new family pool complex, playground, splash pad and more! The all new sports courts have officially broken ground east of the Village Commons between N Splash Drive and Pathways Drive. Tennis courts have been one of the most requested amenity additions for the community and this first phase of the Village Commons expansion plan is expected to be ready in 2019.

Another highly anticipated development is the brand new mixed-use path that runs from the Watersound Origins entrance along S Watersound Parkway all the way to 30A. This new path along with a new traffic light at Watersound Parkway and Highway 98 will create a safer connection to 30A for walkers and bicyclists. Neighboring 30A communities and activity hubs like Seacrest, Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach have never been more accessible for Watersound Origins residents! The traffic light is expected to be fully operational this Spring, just in time for beach days.
