Sales continued to rise in the Destin and Miramar Beach real estate markets during March with 116 properties closed for homes and condos combined and 78 new contracts secured. Sales on Okaloosa Island fell slightly with 11 properties closed for single family homes and condos combined and 17 placed under contract. In Navarre Beach, 8 properties closed, and 10 properties were placed under contract. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida recorded over $51 million in sales volume across Walton and Okaloosa counties during March.
A bay front, nine-bedroom home in Kelly Plantation was the highest priced single-family home to sell in Destin at $5.75 million while the highest priced condo to close was a harbor front, three-bedroom residence at Destin Yacht Club for 2.5 million.
The highest priced home sold in Miramar Beach was a gulf view, four-bedroom residence in Payne Street Cottages for $3.6 million. A gulf front, four-bedroom unit in Hidden Dunes was the highest priced Miramar Beach condo to sell at $2.03 million.
There were no single-family homes closed on Okaloosa Island during March while the highest priced condo to sell was a gulf front, three-bedroom unit in Waters Edge for $920,000.
In Navarre Beach, the highest priced single-family home to sell was a canal front, five-bedroom residence in Grand Navarre for $2.35 million while the highest priced condo closed was a gulf front, three-bedroom unit in Belle Mer for $1.24 million.
